The Founder's Best Tips for School
From a passion for technology and learning to your hands.
Hi! I created InstantGrade because I believe everyone can reach their full potential with the right tools. During my own time in school, I learned a few things that made a big difference. Here are my best tips, combined with how you can use InstantGrade to get an extra boost.
1. Understand, don't memorize
The biggest mistake many people make is trying to memorize facts without understanding the context. Use the Feynman Technique: try to explain a concept in your own, simple words.
When you get an assessment back from our AI grading, read the motivation carefully. It explains why you got a certain grade. Then use our AI tutor Gradey and ask it to "explain this to me like I'm 10 years old" to really test your understanding.
2. See feedback as a gift, not criticism
Every comment from a teacher (or from an AI!) is a chance to get better. Instead of getting discouraged by a lower grade, see it as an exact map showing what you need to work on.
Our platform is designed to provide quick and constructive feedback. Use it to iterate. Submit a draft, get feedback, improve the text, and submit it again. This process is invaluable for quickly getting better. It's help in school when you need it most.
3. Learn by creating and testing
Active learning beats passive listening every day of the week. Create your own summaries, mind maps, or even better: create your own tests to test yourself.
Use our AI test generator to create a practice test from your course literature. This forces you to think like a teacher and identify the most important parts of the text. It's an incredibly effective way to prepare.
4. Be consistent, not intense
Studying for 30 minutes every day is much more effective than studying for 5 hours the night before a test. Regularity builds strong and long-lasting knowledge bases in the brain.
Use the "Let's Learn" feature to get a daily, bite-sized learning plan. Let our AI give you a small, manageable lesson every day to build knowledge over time without it feeling overwhelming.
My promise to you
InstantGrade will always be a tool to enhance your learning, not replace it. I hope that these tips and our platform can help you on your journey towards your academic goals. Good luck!
